Councillor
Derek Williams
My wife Jane and I moved to Upper Boddington around a year ago having lived in a village in North Oxfordshire for the previous 20 years. We don’t have children but do have a boisterous young golden retriever and a cranky old cat.
I’m 57 and I’ve recently retired. Jane retired a few years ago. I’d been in the printing trade for most of my working life, from the shop floor through to running and co-owning a business with around 75 staff in Oxford which we sold last year.
My interests include playing squash and the ancient forerunner to lawn tennis called Real Tennis, as well as fishing and classic cars. I’ve been involved in charitable work for many years including having been a Round Tabler, and I am a current member of Rotary.
We are really enjoying living in the village and are looking forward to getting to know the area better and integrating into the community. I’m hopeful that by joining the Parish Council I can be of service and help the villages.
